This is a "must have" for fans of 6FS and some of their strongest works. There's a manic intensity here reminiscent of Severe Exposure, but this album is tighter and more interesting, with shakier non-4/4 time signatures. There are definitely some Jesus Lizard elements here, but the off-key tones in many of the songs (Live Legs for example) give this soundtrack a Liars-like horror element. The sound is a bit overwhelming on first listen, but it really grows on you. The Bored Oracle in particular, with repeated roaring references to Yeats' second coming, is gripping throughout its 7:45 runtime.
