I purchased this humidifier for our smaller living room. After reading the reviews I decided to go ahead and take a chance, now I will be returning to ebay promptly. The humidifier is noisy, it is hard to describe but the noise level fluctuates without me even doing anything. The noise is similar to a loud fish tank and not relaxing at all. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I ran the humidifier for at least four days straight, night and day, the humidity level did not increase at all.
