Review on 🚨 Chamberlain CWA2000 Wireless Motion Alert: Enhanced Home Security at Your Fingertips by David Gibbs

Excellent notification system

I used to have the same Chamberlain CWA2000 but this spring a branch fell and the unit broke. I immediately ordered a new one. It is installed and works just as well as the previous module. I got these alarm clocks because we live in the country and my husband has traveled a lot. I needed something to alert me to cars (or people) pulling into our driveway. Our driveway is approximately 150 feet long and you cannot see the driveway from the front door. The device is placed at the beginning of the (front) lane, mounted on a tree, so when I step inside an alarm goes off and I have a few seconds to go to the window and see who's on the lane and if I want to open the door. I've found that by using outdoor Ultra-Lithium batteries, the unit will function in the sub-freezing temperatures we experience here. You may have to play with alignment to avoid picking up unwanted signals from the street or neighboring yards. He sometimes takes in nocturnal animals, but that's a small price to pay when a person is up to something bad. You can also adjust the sensitivity and range if that's an issue. The only other issues I had was that when caterpillars or insects crawled in front of the sensor, the alarm made a lot of noise. Then you have to go outside and drag the creature in front of the sensor. The only other problem is that it catches the swaying branches on a very windy day. You can also buy other outdoor units, place them in different places on your property, and emit different signals so you can tell which side a person, car, or animal is coming from. This is a better solution than a "doorbell" alarm that only has one "line of sight" direction. This device has saved me a lot of heartache from unwanted and uninvited people coming into our house.
