I love these plugs. I would also be angry if I didn't get the right product, but I went shopping knowing that each one is unique, so there's a chance the patterns will be different from each one. Mine arrived in perfect condition with just enough gold and they are true to size, mine is 10mm, 00G. They are not cheaply made, the metal is great and I've worn them several times with no problems or discoloration of the metal. Not sure if I'll be wearing them in the shower or at the beach/pool but outside or to work (I can't wear open tunnels to work) they are perfect and they really do look like earrings!
