Mine came with blue foil used to protect the stainless steel and some polishing to remove some burrs but there were many burrs and even one with a large piece of metal. All holes and edges appeared sharp and rough. Spent 3 hours using Dremel to get edges safe to work with. If the product is used where people can come into contact with it, this is required. The blue film was also difficult to remove.
