You have to lower the tank to get to the fuel pump, but that's a Toyota design flaw. Remove the float under the seat, disconnect the float and pump wires, drain the tank, drain the tank from the bottom, change any rubber hoses while you're there. The pump is not the same as the physical OEM Toyota but can be made to work. . Those imitating Toyota seem to be of poor quality.
