I was a little scared when I first took this thing out of the box. I'm a bit handy and can hook up simple lighting fixtures, but I've never cut walls before. It's a lot easier than I thought it would be and took about 30 minutes to complete. I had a wall mounted TV with wires in one of those plastic things taped to the wall, but it looks MUCH better! I'm so happy with it. I chose one with two outlets so I can connect the power and backlight for the TV to it. Luckily I already had an old coax socket on the wall so I decided to try and use it as it was under the TV at floor level. . I removed the old box that was giving me a headache and installed a new one. But I found that outlets are usually right next to the counter. This helped me figure out where to place the power plug behind the TV. The instruction card is a template of how big the hole needs to be cut. I was very afraid to cut such a large piece out of the wall, but the box fit there perfectly. I started cutting right next to the stud because I was just cutting a hole above where the bottom outlet was behind the TV. When he was there he looked so good. Looks clean and professional. Both plugs fit there well and the TV didn't bother them. The hardest part was connecting the HDMI cables as they weren't very long. I had to use the HDMI out on the side because we couldn't hold the TV and plug it in at the same time. We would need a 3rd person. Once plugged in, the cord coming out of the bottom socket was very short, so keep in mind how long your cord is. I bought an extension cord instead of a longer cord. (I didn't want to unplug the TV!) I also had to tape an extra power cord to the back of the TV to keep it from dangling. All in all it was pretty easy to make and it looks AMAZING! I am very satisfied and can recommend this set unreservedly.
