Solidly made - and the support is a nice addition BUT if you look closely - then the top and bottom front glass is "a bit higher" - protects against a flat fall on a smooth surface on the sides - a screen ABOVE the rubber rim - which gives him NO protection if he falls on something that hits his sides but not the top and bottom. I also put on a screen protector - but that's really just for scratches. So I hope I'm not intentionally testing the face drop feature. I have a friend who dropped an old phone on his face in an elevator and wiped the screen. That's why I bought the NCIPIO case for my V20 - it has a bumper on all 4 sides. And I unfortunately tested it with this case - and I also had a second screen protector (supplied by T-Mobile. It broke the screen protector - but not the display - thankfully. Look - even a small pebble on the pavement is sticking out over it beyond bumpers - and the flat surface allows that pebble on the pavement to press hard enough against the screen. You might just want insurance too. Aside from that ONE - the case is great.
