Solid, no drill that does not destroy the paint.

I fitted one of these to my car 6 years ago and when I took the paint off it was still in good condition underneath. Only had to do a basic cleaning with a sponge because of dirt accumulation. It only had an outline that looked like it would get a long-term magnetic hold over time, but it was washable. I had to replace it because I broke it by crashing into a post with the tailgate open, so I bought the same one again. I am using a 68 inch antenna with two load coils.
