Adjustable to different angles for installation.

This is a great antenna mount. It adjusts to almost any angle to fit your setup. Installation was not possible due to the weather. Time will tell if it holds up.

Not suitable for standard NMO connectors.

The standard NMO connector is 3/4 inch. The hole in this product is only 5/8 inch, so the standard plug will not fit. I asked Advanced Specialties about the problem and they suggested I buy the Revain Tram 2550 as it obviously works on a wide range of hole sizes. This NMO connector model has limited availability. If you are using a standard NMO connector then this product is not for you.

Solid, without a drill that does not destroy the paint.

I installed one of these on my car 6 years ago and when I took it off it still looked like it was in good condition underneath. Due to dirt accumulation only had to be cleaned a little with the sponge. It only had an outline that looked like it would get a long-term magnetic hold over time, but it was washable. I had to replace it because I broke it crashing into a post with the tailgate open so I bought the same one again. I am using a 68 inch antenna with two load coils.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons

it moves in all possible directions

The picture is really wrong. The clamp pivots under the rest of the assembly, then the mounting plate has a horizontal hinge and a vertical thumb hinge, and then another horizontal hinge. The pan and thumb screws are "marked" with notches that prevent them from moving even if the screw loosens a little. Heavier than you think seems really durable. To avoid damaging the paint, I attached it (using the four set screws from the bottom) to a 1/8" aluminum rod that I attached to the factory rails on

  • Ideal for outdoor activities
