Not identical to factory key

We thought these keys were a great deal at only $12.95 a pair. Went to a dealer to have them cut and they refused because they couldn't check the 'steel grade' and didn't risk damaging their key maker. Went to a local hardware store that even cuts out mailbox keys (rare because they are needed for security) and they refused. Finally found Harper Keys who was willing but gave no guarantees. I cut out both keys - one worked, although it went in and out of the ignition very hard and felt like it was about to break the door lock, and the other didn't work at all. If we put them on top of each other, you can see that the keys we bought are narrower than the factory keys. and one of them is even narrower than the first. So $12.95 for two blank keys plus $10 for cutting, we get $25 for keys that don't work. We can buy one from Harpers for $25 and it's guaranteed to work. Factory shown on the left, purchased on the right. You can see the difference. We don't have $25 plus gas all over town. We can buy one from Harpers for $25 and it's guaranteed to work.
