Keys work great.: Keyless entry

I still had an original factory key so I bought 2 of these before I lost my only key. I went to a professional locksmith and they cut out the keys. $10 keys work perfectly after going through a very simple chip programming process myself.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Security

I bought this replacement key for my 2011 Chevy Malibu and it did the job. After cutting it, all I had to do was program the key by following these simple steps: 1. Put the original key in the ignition and turn it, but don't start the car, wait for the flashing light to stop with the car and the lock to blink . 2. Remove the original key and install a new key and repeat step 1. After turning the key but starting the car, wait for the flashing lock car to stop flashing. 3.

Pros
  • Hands free
Cons
  • Very expensive

Not identical to factory key

We thought these keys were a great deal at only $12.95 a pair. Went to a dealer to have them cut and they refused because they couldn't check the 'steel grade' and didn't risk damaging their key maker. Went to a local hardware store that even cuts out mailbox keys (rare because they are needed for security) and they refused. Finally found Harper Keys who was willing but gave no guarantees. I cut out both keys - one worked, although it went in and out of the ignition very hard and felt like it…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick Start Guide

Fits Malibu LTZ 2008

Great price! I lost all the keys to my 2008 Chevrolet Malibu. The dealer wanted $45 for a factory key and $150 for programming. So I made one at the dealer and programmed it myself. It takes 30 minutes to program the key if you lost all the keys, but in most cases you can do it yourself without a special programmer. Look on YouTube. The factory part number for the key used by the dealer was 23372322. I then ordered these aftermarket keys and cut them into a new key that I bought from a Chevy…

Pros
  • Enjoy
Cons
  • No Power
