i bought these valve lapping tools on my 1991 fordescort with 477k miles on it. I figured the tool would do a pretty easy job. As I started turning the knob, I noticed that the valve wasn't turning. The suction cup rotated by the handle and not the valve as it should have. I removed all the cups from their handles and filled them with glue and then waited overnight to use them. In the morning they worked as expected, but only thanks to my pseudo-engineering. I sent them back as I don't think I need to repair an item that is already brand new. looking for a better idea
