Review on ๐Ÿšค Efficient Ogrmar Automatic Boat Bilge Pump Float Switch โ€“ Moisture Tight Seals, Ignition Protected Mercury, 12/24/32VDC by Jean Donjuan

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No worse than most float switches, low cost.

Most float switches currently available are of very low quality. Jabsco, Johnson's versions tend to be bad, Attwood makes decent ones but cost twice as much as these. I believe you will get MAXIMUM for 1-4 years in the market. However, most pumps fail due to poor connections or crimped wires, so I'd go with those over $60 and use resin connectors and/or heat shrink tubing. Do not overtighten the bolts when attaching to the bilge or bracket. I've always mounted them to a thin/long stainless steel L-bracket that keeps them low in the bilge for ease of installation and replacement. Durability 4 stars because they are all poorly made now, mine are holding up well so far.
