When I first ordered this board it was a mistake I thought I went with the B450 Tomahawk Max. When I noticed it I checked the reviews and it seemed like I was still fine. So the day came and it finally came (thanks covid19) and I put my system back together. I install windows and after reboot I close it and go into bios. I enable XMP (3600MHz CL16) and save the settings. Everyone is dizzy, I wait for the computer to boot up, press the start button, then BOOM! do it again. I scratch the back of my head trying to figure out what happened. After playing around with things, I fired it up in the warehouse, downloaded and ran the updates. I tried again and the same. After a few tries I gave up and ordered a 16GB Gskill Tridentz Neo 3600 kit. I was looking forward to its arrival, installed it and enabled XMP. This time he waited while I downloaded the program and took off. I manually adjusted the timings to get the same result. tension corrected. Same result. I got fed up with RMA boards when my brain started working. I need to update the BIOS, so I download the latest BIOS, put in a flash drive and unzip the file on it. I read the guide several times to make sure I didn't miss anything (it's not the first BIOS update, but every BIOS is a bit different). Turn off the system and insert the USB flash drive, turn it on and enter the BIOS. I go into the Mflash utility and it reboots to flash the BIOS. It boots and tells me to plug in the USB. I tried all USB slots with no luck so I said fuck it and exited and booted into Windows. As I looked at the screen, a little voice in my head told me to see how the USB is formatted. I did this and it was ExtFAT formatted so I reformatted it to NTFS, put the file back on the hard drive and rebooted. I got into the BIOS, pressed Mflash, the utility loaded, and voooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow BIOS to reboot again. After Windows loaded, I ran 3D Markup to make sure it still wasn't crashing randomly. Rebooted and went into BIOS, enabled the second XMP profile (new option), saved and exited. Once Windows loaded, I ran 3D Mark and my Far Cry 5 benchmark and they didn't crash. I ran memtest all night with no errors so I was happy. So for anyone looking to buy this board I'd say it's definitely worth buying, but if you're having any memory issues, try updating your BIOS.
