This monitor offers the user a comfortable, immersive experience, and yes, it beats a flat panel of the same size. Watching a movie on a CURVED screen allows the viewer to see the video as the human eye sees the world naturally. The price is a shockingly low price for a curved monitor considering other brands of curved monitors are more than double the price of this one. Low power consumption makes it affordable to use (doesn't increase electricity bills). It consumes 21 watts per hour, which is about half that of other monitors of the same size on the market. My only complaint about this monitor is that some of the LEDs are noticeable, they shine through the screen so it can be distracting at times. As far as I can tell, the color reproduction is accurate. Overall a good monitor, affordable and easy to use, would definitely recommend. My compliments to Scceptre. If anyone at Scepter is reading this, your company should make a change on the next curved monitor model to better shape the LEDs so none of them stand out, the viewer shouldn't be able to see the LEDs shining through the screen, what the case is annoying sometimes. One more thing to decide. Many reviewers claim that they either couldn't be installed on the stand or the stand doesn't tip over. It's actually relatively easy to install the stand, you just have to follow the instructions, I didn't even have to use the instructions, but if you're not mechanically inclined, the instructions will show you step by step, you just need to attach the stand to the Align holes and drive screws using company-supplied tool. And yes, the stand is adjustable, YOU CAN TILT THE MONITOR UP once it's on the stand. It doesn't tilt down, but I haven't seen a monitor stand that tilts down, so this particular manufacturer doesn't stand out.
