Review on Sceptre C275W-1920R: Immersive Curvature Display with Built-in Speakers, Metallic πŸ–₯️ Finish and HD Resolution, Supports DisplayPort and HDMI, 75Hz Refresh Rate by Henry Russo

Great monitor! to my rating.

I think it's very good for this price. I don't see any obvious problems compared to my MSI G27C2 144Hz curved screen with Freesync. The bezels are very thin and the display is quite bright. I didn't experience any dead pixels, which is always a plus! Even for a 75Hz model, $190 is excellent value, especially now that everyone is trying to upgrade their systems for working from home. It turned out to be one of the cheapest 27-inch curved displays when I needed it (to also improve my work at home on our second computer). I definitely think 1080P @ 144Hz is what most of us need. 1440P or even 4K with a higher refresh rate really requires an expensive graphics card. When I looked at the benchmarks for my 5700XT graphics card, at 1440 I had trouble hitting 144 fps in many games, which negated the benefits of a high refresh rate. When I bought my MSI monitor I talked about going to 1440 @ 144Hz but the price difference was also quite significant and it still is. I think if you're looking for a game then you'll probably be a bit disappointed, especially if you have a higher refresh rate monitor to compare. extra cash if you play games and play FPS or anything that benefits from a higher refresh rate. The only minor issue I found was that there is a black bar about 1mm wide at the edge of the display that is not part of the display. It doesn't exist on my MSI monitor, and to be honest it's pretty hard to see when you have a dark background. It's there, though, and I can definitely see how it can annoy some people. Another reviewer also noticed this, so I can't imagine it's limited to my sample, and he checked out the 75Hz model, so it seems like it was part of their design, intentional or not. I didn't like the built-in speakers either, but it's hard to fault them for a feature that arguably didn't add to the price appreciably. For those who don't have separate speakers, this can be a plus. I had to go into my sound card settings and turn off the monitor speakers, but it only lasted 10 seconds and I never have to think about it again. All in all, especially given the limited number of monitors that really cater for a larger curved display for most people!
