I tried them on every size can I could find - 3oz, 5.5oz, 15oz - cans of cat food, chili, soup etc. It was loose on each of them. Some were SUPER loose and some were just loose, but absolutely none of them were tight. I find these to be silicone lids rather than lids - you can just slide them over the jar to close it, but it doesn't seal or hold liquids when you tilt the jar. I have some old silicone lids (they last forever!) and use them every day, mostly on cat food jars but other jars as well. I needed a few more so I tried these but they are a throwback for me. All my other lids provide a good seal and don't run the risk of just falling off or leaking. I can't find the old brand I ordered many years ago so my search continues now.
