Everything Vetri-Science makes appears to be of very high quality. I introduced these products to my vet and he became an absolute fan and introduced me to other Vetri Science products that work for his feline patients. I personally use two Vetri-Science products for my cats: Vetri-Lysine Plus and Nu-Cat Vitamins. My two cats love them very much. My only cat had a herpetic eye infection that almost lost an eye twice despite costly visits to the feline ophthalmologist. L-lysine helped, but it wasn't enough at the recommended doses. Vets kept telling me that an overdose of L-lysine could disrupt arginine metabolism and be fatal. Eventually, a study came out showing that L-lysine didn't cause problems with arginine in adult cats (not kittens!) and my vet gave me the green light to treat it at whatever dose I felt was effective. I give him 1000mg a day regularly and see watery eyes. At the first sight of watery eyes I start giving him 1500mg a day for a day or two. In just a few hours, I will see his eyes become completely clear. My other cat had a chronic cold and sneezing due to herpes but only needs 250mg/day every few days to keep it under control. However, both of my cats LOVE these gummies, so it's hard to limit them. However, to save money, I try to distract him with other cheaper treats, but he knows his brother gets the best! With these gumballs I throw them on the floor and get out of the way!
