Review on Men's Black Brooks Ghost Athletic Shoes with High-Risk Blackened Look by Justin Gore

Defect about 450 km

I bought these shoes as an upgrade to a pair of Salomons as I was looking for a pair of shoes that were softer and more waterproof. The cushioning is acceptable, but the further you go into the shoe, the thinner the cushioning gets. It goes so far that you can feel everything you walk on in front of your shoes. There is no protection from rocks you land on and I ended up hurting the bottom of my foot. The second problem is that Goretex just doesn't work because the sneakers are water permeable. I honestly never would have guessed they had gore-tex if it wasn't for the label printed on the side of the shoe. I've never had any problems with Goretex. The shoes started falling apart even after 2 months of very light use. They are just horribly made and I expected a lot more from a shoe in this price range. The reason I haven't used them as much as I'd like is because I injured my ankle doing it and haven't been able to walk since.

Pros
  • Fit well, the sole wears out relatively quickly.
Cons
  • The outsole can wear out quickly with frequent use.
