Innovative clip idea, poor execution

The idea behind these clips is to combine two clips into one, a pocket hole clip and a face clip. Unfortunately, the design of this clip makes it less useful than any other clip it can replace. One of the main problems is that the mouth opening is too small. Unlike the two clamps this product is attempting to replace, the jaws do not open wide enough for 1.5 inches (2 x nominal) of material. They are only designed for clamping thin sheet metal materials. Another issue is attaching the clamp pin/surface with a thumbscrew, it's just awkward and difficult to attach securely. The rotating pin/end piece introduces play into the clamp compared to a traditional pocket hole or end clamp. It's difficult to get perfect 90 degree angles with pocket holes with this clip, and it tends to move around as you turn the screws. The end clamp side works well but I find its use limited due to the narrow jaw opening.
