Innovation in Hand Tools

This seems to be an innovative way of combining two types of clamps. I have less than 100 square meters for my woodworking hobby. I welcome any opportunity to save space and money. They are a little bigger than I expected. My reference point was the little blue clip I use with the R3 pocket hole gauge. I will update if they don't work properly. One observation: thumbscrews are difficult to tighten. You don't have to be tight to use the clamp. My concern is that if pushed into a drawer they…

Pros
  • Maximum Jaw Opening: 2-1/2" Clamp: 1-1/2". The turning knob adjusts the working pressure for a secure hold in different widths.
Cons
  • A newer model could have been chosen

Handy in the workshop.: Power tools and hand tools

When in doubt as to whether you need a particular clamp, just sit until you come to your senses (and doubts will magically disappear). Then use clamps. Do this even if (especially if) you never needed them. After all, you already have clamps for the jobs you need them for and you've had to buy clamps for jobs you've never done before, so you know you need a new type. You just don't know when and why. Haven't done much building lately but winter is coming and it's a good time as temperatures…

Pros
  • Works with 90° elbows and T-connectors. Cast aluminum V-shaped and wedge-shaped jaws.

Innovative clip idea, poor execution

The idea behind these ferrules is to combine two ferrules into one: a pocket hole ferrule and a face hole ferrule. Unfortunately, the design of this clip makes it less useful than any other clip it can replace. One of the main problems is insufficient jaw opening. Unlike the two clamps this product is attempting to replace, the jaws do not open wide enough for 1.5 inches (2 x nominal) of material. They are only designed for clamping thin sheet metal materials. Another issue is attaching the…

Pros
  • Ideal for making drawers and installing shelves. The innovative design allows workpieces to be leveled 90 degrees, and the quick-adjust handle allows you to work quickly. Helps hold knots such as boxes, cabinets, drawers and drawers. V-wedge jaws securely grip mating parts and ensure parts sit at a precise 90° angle when driving screws or even other fasteners such as nails or wood screws.
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Great tools for those who do a lot of DIY.

One of those tools I don't know how I did without lol. I don't do much carpentry, but I make a lot of things with my own hands where they will be very useful. I used them on this Kydex mold I made for a wooden holster. I also used them on some of the door panels I made for my Mustang Foxbody. It was the perfect thing for holding slabs of wood to the slab. It is similar to Vic's grip but without the grips that could damage what he was holding. They also have a swivel head which makes…

I take a clamp in front of these

Foreword: This rating is based purely on the use of an angled pocket hole clip. I think these clamps have their place, but after trying them I'm more inclined to get the bar clamp. First, they are uncomfortable to pinch because they don't open very wide. Holding two blanks and fitting this clamp into the holes was a nuisance. Knowing that blind holes tend to shift workpieces when drilled doesn't help much in this regard. Even if you use a clamp in the hole closest to the one you're screwing…
