When in doubt as to whether you need a particular clamp, just sit until you come to your senses (and doubts will magically disappear). Then use clamps. Do this even if (especially if) you never needed them. After all, you already have clamps for the jobs you need them for and you've had to buy clamps for jobs you've never done before, so you know you need a new type. You just don't know when and why. Haven't done much building lately but winter is coming and it's a good time as temperatures drop to comfortable levels in our part of Texas. I found a way to test them and (after a lot of fiddling) they work. These will take some getting used to as I've gotten used to other methods for so long. They seem well made and should be served with care.
