Intuitive and fun, a bit unusual

My daughter is 2-3 years old and quite advanced in reading and communication. She really liked this toy, especially without the book. She uses a pen to play different games (find every letter, number, shape, etc.). As simple as it sounds, she really enjoys it and it's a huge development for her motor skills as she gets almost all the answers right. It really teaches her how to hold a pen. She's left-handed and I appreciate that the handle's cord is connected near her spine so it's not too difficult for her. The cable is short. The book didn't convince me. It works for the duration of the story, mostly reading the book with voice acting and sound effects, some music. It's not as good as human reading, but it's a normal replacement. But paper books aren't strong enough for a child to handle roughly with a pen, so expensive books don't last long. My biggest concern is the cost of the books for this thing. A pack of four short books costs $40. That might be fine, but it costs hundreds of dollars and the content seems a bit light. Quality, in short. Great business case, but really consider whether investing a few hundred dollars over the life of this thing would be competitive with other options. works very reliably.
