Review on 🍳 Culinary Institute of America Candy and Deep Fry Thermometer - Master Collection by Carol Long

This is the most durable kitchen thermometer I have ever owned. After breaking or melting three different thermometers, I bought this one because it looked well made. After a few months of use, my wife and I are very happy with the durability and accuracy (at least when frying in the pan). We didn't use it to make candy. Pros: Sturdy (my 2 year old used it like a hammer without breaking it) Attractive (looks too good to put in a kitchen drawer) No batteries required Adjustable if recalibration is needed Cons: The thermometer head is heavy and may not stay in the flat position of pots and pans. The clamp doesn't hold one of my pans very securely (a Lodge Dutch Enamel Stove) and I'm worried it will fall off. If I lose this thermometer I will buy the exact same one again.
