Review on πŸ“Ί Immerse in Stunning Visuals with 8K HDMI Cable Highwings Braided: An Unbeatable Video Experience by Michael Patilla

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Surprisingly robust for HDMI cable

On the plus side, this cable seems to do what it says on the tin. I can't confirm that it supports an 8K signal, but it does support an HDR 4K signal at 120 fps when Apple TV 4K (2021 release) is connected to an LG C1 OLED TV. It also looks like eARC. So why am I only giving it three stars? There are two annoying downsides. Cable. Maybe so, but in my experience that damn Velcro kept sticking to tablecloths, curtains, and anything else near the cord while I was trying to plug it in. Second, the cable is surprisingly stiff. I was expecting something like an HDMI 1.2 or Ethernet cable; very flexible and easy to bend. Instead, it's more like a coaxial cable with a very large bend radius. Enough of the problem that I used to use a 3 foot cable as the perfect length to get the job done and easy to hide, now I had to grab a 6 foot cable and try to tie the excess around the back of the TV wrap without bending it too much. . Maybe the specs call for all HDMI 8K cables to be that rigid, so it's not the manufacturer's fault, I don't know. All I can say is prepare for something a lot tougher than you expected, both in terms of taking a little longer than expected and in terms of having to find a way to plug in the extra cable hide that sticks out in curves and bends.

Pros
  • Easy installation
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
