I got this to help me when I went home to see my family during difficult times, but I still had work to do. I have 2 monitors at home, 3 if you count the laptop screen. So when traveling, I wanted something thin, light, bright, USB-C powered with DisplayPort over USB-C support and no built-in battery. After a few weeks of real world use, I've completed all my tasks. Performance goals and I am very happy with the purchase. I didn't need the built-in battery because I knew there would be long periods where it would be fully charged and idle while I was connecting it to a USB power source at the same time. so it just didn't make sense. Finally, I wouldn't use it much on battery power, and I would end up with a dead battery/battery that won't charge and possibly a monitor that would stop working if that happened. I have neither this problem nor these concerns with this display. That's easy. Monitor. I don't think I would give it any special points for its amazing color accuracy or its second to none picture. What it really does is do a fantastic job with workloads, occasional YouTube or Netflix browsing, and as a monitor when I'm working on retro electronics projects. The images are bright, not too saturated, sharp and clear. It performs about as well as you would expect from the average IPS LCD. The sound is not very, tiny speakers, tin. Your laptop speakers are probably better. Any headphone on the market is probably better. But it works in no time. My only real disappointment is some of the food related issues. The monitor doesn't seem to remember the settings between each power up. If I lower the brightness, turn it off, and then turn it back on, it goes back to full. If I change the color to a setting or two (it's too bright for me) it will come back bright when it's back on. I've noticed that the monitor doesn't like it when the laptop goes to sleep and then wakes up again. Especially if the USB-C port is an "always on" USB port that provides power when the computer is off. The monitor looks like it's on and the LED is on, but nothing is displayed until it's unplugged and then plugged back in. In general I am happy with it. Got it while it was on sale. Can't complain, overall it was a good experience. I hope it outlasts my next few laptops.
