These are not 20x50 binoculars! Maybe it's 8x42 binoculars. The great reviews this product gets must be written by well-meaning people who have no other pair to compare themselves to. The first number (20) is the optical power, the higher the number, the greater the magnification. The second number is the size of the lens. The higher the number, the larger the lens and the more light it lets in. If I compare these Ronhans to a pair of Nikon 10x50 (1st photo), you can see that the shape of the Ronhan lenses is smaller (2nd photo, Ronhan on the left). That means they are not 50 and possibly 42 years old.
