Winter gloves for your feet, roasted toes!

First of all, the picture of these shoes at the top of the page doesn't do them justice. You look 100x better when you see them. Then people say you should buy two sizes bigger. In my case I usually wear a size 44 and for some reason the size 45 for this shoe is about $30 cheaper than the other sizes and I bought it for $99. And thankfully, they fit perfectly, albeit not too big. And I always wear socks. If you wear vibrams every day and have a lot of different pairs, there are a few things you just need to know. NEVER pull your tongue to put these shoes on. Always.2. Push your toes in, tuck them into the toes of your shoes, and then wring your heel to finish putting them on.3. These shoes, like any other shoe, take some time to adjust to your foot, loosen up, etc. So the feeling when you put them on for the first time right out of the box is different than what you get a week later you'll feel like you'll wear them every time. Day. (By the way, I haven't had any tongue issues with them, but they never felt super strong. I always shake my head when I see people complaining about the tongue coming loose. They put it in the wrong way round.) Finally these are the warmest vibrams i have. I bought these because I now only wear Vibrams Five Finger Toes and our Illinois winter has been cold so far. We say -13 or worse with the wind several times. Lots of snow etc. I was wearing my regular Trek Ascents but they weren't warm enough. These shoes are literally like those sturdy winter gloves (like in my picture) that you wear to keep your hands warm when you are outside. and when they hit the snow, they look and feel the same as when you put them on. That's great. I wouldn't say these are the most comfortable vibrators I own, at least that's my first impression, but they are the warmest so they serve a purpose. I'm an artist and spend a lot of time on my feet so I'll update this in a week or two to show how well they are handling it. I'm worried about having to bring another pair to change into because they might get too hot or uncomfortable after a few hours of work. UPDATE: After wearing them for a week I have some updates. For the most part they are very comfortable. I personally had an issue with the right boot though, these shoes go a little higher than the ankle than most vibrams and for some reason on the right side when the boot rubs on my fibula (the bone that sticks out outside). my ankle) it's going to hurt like hell. It wasn't even a skin irritation or anything, just the touch was insanely painful for some reason. And the left shoe rubs the same bone on the other side and I don't even feel it. Anyway I made a small modification and trimmed the boot straight at this point as you can see in the picture below and now they are in perfect condition. This has never happened to me and I will not give it up. Warmth in these boots, returning them and going with something else or trying another pair, the problem isn't with the shoes in my opinion, it's with my body. But I've run in the snow, spent some time outside in very cold weather and these shoes keep your feet fantastically warm. They also do a pretty good job of keeping your feet dry. I can honestly say I haven't had a wet foot with them yet, although I don't think they're waterproof or anything. That's not how Vibram works, lol. Ok, hope this helps someone. Update 2: Well, I've been wearing them every day for a few weeks now. I'm not pinched (no pun intended) or wet for that matter yet. I am very happy with these vibrams for winter boots.
