The bark collar seems to be working. "You mean fun control collars. " --my dogs

I have very mixed feelings about these collars. Too bad I didn't work on controlling excessive barking with verbal commands before putting the collars on. I only bought two after the police came to my house and told me that one of my neighbors called and complained about my dogs. So, after a month of less collar use, here are some thoughts. do you work Yes, sort of, but it interacts with the dog's character. In the photo that accompanies my review, you will notice that a bitch is looking at me as if I better not dare to put a collar next to her. Given the choice of wearing a collar or staying indoors, she chooses to stay indoors. The other dog will put it on reluctantly, get a little cranky, and then carry on playing. He usually doesn't forget he's wearing it. Once activated, it is usually silent with no need for correction. With my other dog, showing her the collar and telling her not to bark was somewhat effective. Overall I would say my success rate is 50%. How does shock feel? I tried it on my fingers. (When the teeth touch an uneven surface, it activates.) Level 1 is like a mild shock of static electricity. Level 2 is a little more memorable. By level 3 I was in enough pain to wonder how my dog would feel, and by level 4 I blurted out, "Damn!" and decided I was going to stop there. Be sure to put it on your dog. Moving the collar over your dog's fur can trigger it - you will hear a warning tone, which means an electric shock will follow next. works on a dog. Another protests by refusing to go outside if it means wearing a collar. Too bad I didn't try verbal commands sooner. Shock only works from level 4.
