Review on Tenergy Centura 1.2V NiMH Rechargeable D Battery, 8000mAh LSD D Cell Batteries, Pre-Charged D Size Battery, 4 Pack - UL Certified by Sharon Smith

I just ran four Tenergy Centura D cells through my 'universal' smart chargers (Dlyfull Pro and PS Power DC5000 which share the same design) which have a test cycle. discharges the batteries at 500mA and charges them at 2000mA. The results for the four battery capacities in mA are as follows: 8171, 8703, 9052 and 9189. Most importantly, they are all measured above the typical 8000mA capacity quoted. Batteries from not many manufacturers do this. The bad thing is that the capacity consistency exceeds 10%. However, this may be due to the difficulty that chargers have in detecting the end of charge for NiMH batteries when charging at a low rate (even at 2000mA for these batteries, this is only a 0.25C charge rate). The durability of the cells cannot be determined at this point as I have had them long enough to run a test cycle in the charger. The low self-discharge properties are also not to be criticized, since I didn't have them long enough either.
