One day I got a 3 star review and wanted to try and get this thing working on my F150. I'll throw most of it away. I could have used a stick and sponge but the sponge holder is junk now. It keeps sticking to my wheels, windows and wipers and this is my first muddy winter with lots of snow and salt. The dirt in the nicks on my doors didn't do me any good. It felt better in my hand, like a sponge without the plastic part. I understand the design but it doesn't bode well for my truck, maybe it will work for others but I had it! It's nice, light and has a good grip, the sponge is fine when used alone. The rod is screwed normally, and the rod falls apart quickly. I just can't get over the frustration of trying to do what it's meant to do in the first place, which is without bumps and not being able to work around things.
