I bought this because I needed a quieter opener compared to the chain drive it replaced. Wi-Fi enabled features are also important to me. I had it professionally installed. Everything has worked fine so far, except that once or twice the opener didn't respond to an open or close request via the genie connect app. I may need to install a repeater to fix this problem. I will check it regularly with further use. 11/20/19 Update: The opener worked perfectly except for the WiFi functions. I installed a wifi extender to improve signal strength at the bottle opener. That helps to a degree, but sometimes it doesn't, especially when outside of the garage, Wi-Fi requests to the opener are completely missed. This happens even if you stand at least 1 inch from the outside garage door. However, the door is quiet and seems solid and sturdy enough. However, if you're looking for an opener with strong Wi-Fi or smart home capabilities, based on my experience I would definitely say that you shouldn't buy this one. There's no point using smart or app-based features if the included Wi-Fi antenna is too weak to pick up a strong amplified signal by itself.
