We bought a Komachi knife set 7-8 years ago. They were super good until a year ago. shrank when we tried to cut them. I will buy another set of knives. I just saw this knife sharpener and was thinking of trying it. This is the best solution. Pass the knife through the middle slot 5-7 times and the last/precision slot 5 times. The knife looks like new and this sharpener saved a lot of money. Be sure to wash your knives thoroughly with soapy water after sharpening as I've seen fine metal powder on knife blades.
