Pry off both sides while unscrewing the old block. You will need to shorten the piston connected to the top link to accommodate the new linkage that is included. Insert a new connection and then work blind once the actuator is in place. Make sure the plunger clip is in the correct position and facing you, then use the door lock's thumb nose protruding from the door panel to lock or unlock the door to get the new linkage in place and insert it into the door lock of the new piston slot. .
