Review on 🔌 StarTech.com SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ExpressCard Adapter with UASP - 2 Port USB 3.0 Controller - USB 3.0 ExpressCard - USB 3.0 Adapter (ECUSB3S22) by Adam Whittaker

I have ordered two of these for two Win7 thinkpads. The drivers were installed on the first try (albeit with an error message - apparently a false alarm). I can't get a precise idea of how close the actual USB 3.0 transfer speed is. Yes, this card stands out and increases footprint. So far I haven't had to use an external power supply (external WD Passport USB 3.0 2TB drives will only work with what the card ports provide). Yes, it's a little loose in the full-size card slot and I don't have the right adapter, but that's not a problem. The downside of the card slot's narrow width is that the two ports are so close together that it prevents (for some devices) using more than one USB device at a time. I never seem to have too many fast USB ports and so far this product has worked well. UPDATE: 2 years later. I bought a third USB 3 stick. The updated driver from the manufacturer's website does not work with my Win7 computer. I had to look for an earlier version of the driver (two years old) and now it works fine.
