I bought a Midland er-210 weather radio in April and had to use it when my power went out after Hurricane Irma. I have no complaints. Before the storm, I fully charged the er-210 with a USB cable so it was ready to go when needed. Since it was already charged before the storm hit land, it lasted all the time I needed without charging. It worked great for listening to local AM and FM radio as well as NOAA weather radio. I've tried the weather alert mode, which sets off an alarm when severe weather is coming, and it worked as expected. The built-in flashlight came in handy on several occasions, as did the ability to charge a smartphone. Reception, sound quality, volume and battery life of this radio are more than sufficient for emergencies. Note: This radio is shipped with the battery disconnected. To use it, you must first open the battery compartment and connect it.
