Absolute best buy for the crew

I was looking for comfortable, warm socks for my daughter to wear to her team's (rowing) regattas. All children walk in their socks over sand, rocks, pebbles, grass, concrete, wood and even metal or plastic to and from the water. The days are usually very early, so there is dew on the ground and on the docks. Once in the boats they are strapped to the footrests and it is important that their feet are padded. It's also important to have warm feet on cold (and wet) days. After the kids have dipped 1 pair they always have a backup as they run at least 2-3 per day per race (i.e. 4-6 with 1 race and final but can race 2-3 times). plus graduation every other day and some weekends 2-3 days. So you need LOTS of clean, fresh, dry, comfortable socks) These socks are quite soft, different types of bottom or docking materials don't affect them, which is useful when you're carrying a big and heavy boat where you don't see the approaching bottom to avoid pitfalls or problems. Wool socks keep feet warm, even in humid conditions, which in March and April include snow in Michigan. She says they're also excellent at repelling water, which is a big plus. Dark colors also help hide dirt! Some children throw away 2-3 pairs of white socks a week. I started with 2 pairs to see how they would perform and will stock up as they are her new favorite for breathability, comfort, cushioning and support. and warm. We desperately need 6-12+ socks per child on weekends plus daily training. And now these are her new favorites that she has recommended to her entire boat and crew. Can't ask for more. Seriously, great buy.
