I bought these for gym use and hiking. I used to wear Smart Wool socks, so I chose the Zensah brand. Zensah socks are good, wool socks are softer, I hand wash and air dry and they have held up well so far. I liked that they aren't show socks so they rise higher on my foot and really help prevent blisters. They're a little bigger than my Smart Wool, but they're comfortable and protect my feet.
