Fantastic mouse!

I'm totally impressed with this mouse, the Rival 310. Overall the build quality is the best I've seen in a mouse until now. I used to be a Logitech supporter, but now I've switched to SteelSeries. I compare the Rival 310 to my previous mice (G900, G400, MX510, G7 and others not pictured) and immediately notice a difference in build quality. Just holding the mouse is nice. It's like touching soft plastic in a luxury car instead of a regular compact car. This isn't a Logitech review, but pick up the Rival 310 and you'll feel the difference. The Logitech G900 (sold for twice the price of the 310) feels thin, solid, and empty. Shake the Rival 310 and it doesn't rattle or move at all - it feels solid but is relatively light and well balanced. Mouse clicks at 310 can be felt no matter which key I press. The wheel is smooth, although I feel like there's too much movement between scroll strokes. Mouse feet/pads feel comfortable, not very slippery on a cloth mat. The only downside is that I find them a bit small and flat to claw and I have medium sized hands. The photos show that the G400 has a higher camber and fits me better. But over time I will be able to adapt. Before making this purchase I did some research and looked at/read a number of mouse reviews and one thing that struck me was the lack of mention of build quality when choosing a mouse. Keep in mind that these reviews are usually sponsored. But I do agree that the sensors on today's high-end gaming mice are pretty much on par with gaming mice. Therefore, it becomes more important to choose a mouse based on how it feels and controls. For me, the build quality is one of the most important factors. Factors in choosing a mouse are that you will be holding and interacting with it, and you want it to feel solid. I'll be honest, I'm quite a bully, like an angry monkey, so I need something that can take a beating. Simple test, just press the mouse. When I squeeze my G900, it creaks and gives way. The Rival 310 doesn't. To be fair to Logitech, the G400 (much older than the G900) didn't squeak either and felt like a more solid mouse. There is nothing wrong with the software, it is quite simple. I appreciate that the software is pretty lightweight compared to others like Razer and Logitech. I only used it for cpi settings. I first bought a Rival 310 to try as a G900 replacement (broken due to a double click issue) but ended up becoming a SteelSeries converter.
