At first I wanted a live aquarium with some danios and shrimp. Because LED aquarium lighting is not the right spectrum, plants will not grow efficiently. And the cleaning was a nightmare, but that's my fault, I never thought that it's quite a "closed" tank with a little hole on top. (Won't do THAT again!). Also the filter system was a joke. Literally sucks in the water and immediately spits it out over the filter media, not through the filter media, so the shit goes in/shit right away! I took it out and put in a sponge filter which does a 10x better job. Was very disappointed in the purchase as I have a 15 gallon that I bought over a year ago and love the whole setup. live and learn So if you can do this: make plastic plants and a sponge filter.
