Mary had a small lambswool car wash mitt.

Super soft. That's the real deal. You can feel the lambs hide when your hand is inside. When it dries it becomes a raw hide, but I suppose it can be used a few more times before the wool fibers fall out. I felt very uncomfortable applying it to my car paint via a sponge. Just make sure to use a separate bucket of water to rinse out the dirt on your mittens.
