At first I thought it was a regular teapot. Its my fault. I didn't look closely enough. This is a large brew bowl that can be used to steep herbs in soups, stews and sauces. It can also be used to brew a large pot of loose tea. I decided to give it a try and make a large pitcher of iced tea. It looks like it's really high quality, so I expected good results. The problem was that I couldn't open it. The instructions say to remove the silicone band and twist counter-clockwise. It turned but didn't fall apart. I used some silicone pins for extra grip because I didn't want to slip and cut my hand on the edge if it fell apart if I tried hard. I never took it apart and it wasn't worth the hassle for me. It's an interesting concept and I'm sure there are people who would find it perfect. Not me.
