For years I have had the cheaper 'fake' version of compressors found at old gas stations years ago which have generally served me well when pumping things up using Shredder . "Valves. Was a bit "temperamental/spirited" at times, but worked. But then I bought a new bike with "Presta" valves and was only able to use a hand pump to inflate, which was a headache**. I have an adapter but it barely worked with my 'old' gas station compressor. So I decided to search the internet for a better solution (because everything was junk in local auto parts or Pep Boys). After about an hour of searching I read up horrible reviews from many products I came across the TireTek TXL-Pro Heavy Duty tire pressure sensor I loved everything I read about it in the description - the metal components, the large dial, the lockable gas cap and (the most pleasant) surprise - the lifetime warranty I ordered one and it arrived on time or early, excellent packaging I put teflon tape on the INCLUDED (beautiful!) fitting and de Installed in the tool I then began to "test" them on various applications of Schrader fittings. a. then the ultimate test - my bicycle tires. MY GOD! This tool is great! I could NOT be happier - and in my opinion I will never have to buy one again - EVER. Because of the lifetime guarantee! I can't believe how lucky I am to have chosen this instrument. I'm so glad I didn't have to play the frustrating "break-in" with other crappy instruments. 5 STARS across the board!
