It works well to power just about anything you want to run within a certain temperature range. Just be sure to check the amperage or wattage of whatever you're plugging into it. From the literature I'm not sure how much inrush current it can handle for larger refrigeration compressors, if any. I like that I can see three important temperatures at the same time. The current temperature as well as the lower and upper temperature limits. Once you understand how you set values and what all the other hidden values do, things are pretty simple and easy after that. The temperature accuracy seems to be good. But I haven't tested it with a reliable thermometer to be sure. This seems accurate enough for the purposes I'm using it for. The instructions are brief, but very brief, and you should fill in the blanks with your own experience. Also, the instructions are printed on a very small piece of paper in very small type. You might want to go to the manufacturer's website and see if there is a .pdf version that you can download and print out at a more readable size.
