Review on All Clad Gourmet WD822D51 Waffle Silver by Sara Gowan

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Uneven cooking - well-done center and almost raw edges

It looked so impressive when it arrived, but looks can be deceiving. The All-Clad waffle maker is a solid weight which means it is a well made product and this impression is reinforced by the perfect looking waffles that All-Clad features in their ads. I was really looking forward to the waffles I imagined she would make for my family. But the reality didn't quite match the images in the All-Clad ad. We bought our All-Clad waffle maker on 11/29/2020. The first batch of waffles turned out well, although my whole family has noticed that the waffles don't cook as evenly as the All Clad promotional photos suggest. The problem is that every time we use a waffle maker, its performance gets worse and worse. Does NOT bake evenly. We have used the waffle maker less than a dozen times and the problem is only getting worse. Sunday, April 4th, 2021 marked its low point and triggered this negative rating. The center of the waffles was well done, but the edges (especially the ones closest to control) were almost raw. This $249.99 waffle maker cooks less evenly than the $30 waffle maker I bought from Target. We've been fans of All-Clad products for decades, but this waffle maker does NOT meet the quality standards we've come to expect from All-Clad.
