Great set!: Tester

This set is much better than I expected. A tried and tested outlet works great and is a very handy tool around the house. My guess is that the manufacturer included Duracell AAA batteries for the voltage tester and Maxell button batteries for the multimeter. I don't like it when companies throw away used batteries, so thanks for the quality batteries! Batteries are packaged separately so they don't run out of power in the devices before you open the package. The voltmeter works fine. It's WAY too sensitive at max sensitivity, but there's a dial on the side for instant sensitivity calibration. It seems to me that the "MIN" setting works best. The concept of a "smart" multimeter is new to me; I'm used to adjusting the dial to the correct position before use, but this automatic multimeter seems to work fine. I haven't been able to confuse it yet, it always seems to find the right setting for AC or DC. The packaging is one of those horrible hard plastic clamshells that you have to cut up with scissors. Make sure to cut as close to the top as possible as I cut out the instruction manual a bit because it's hidden in the packaging. All in all, I find the set very practical and can definitely recommend it. All three tools will be useful in the household.
