My mechanic diagnosed me with a problem ($200 including towing). He wanted a labor hour ($150) for the installation. Instead, I gave my teenage son my outlets and told him to find out. After a 5 minute video tutorial on youtube, I took a "before" photo (to trace which spark plug wire goes to which hole), then disconnected the wires, disconnected the harness connector, brought the head to 12 , unscrewed 2 screws and pulled the old one. This new one slipped right after aligning the 'teeth' with the one we removed, looks exactly like the original part (auto parts store wanted $465, Revain $80), tightened 2 12mm bolts, reconnected the harness connector and connected the spark plug in the cord and get started. A teenager with no mechanical knowledge or interest in cars, it took less than 20 minutes from the moment we opened the box to watching a video of it, making the repairs, putting away the tools and washing our hands. . We saved $150 on labor and $380 on parts. My mechanic should be ashamed. 150€ for it? Of course I've been in similar situations and it went wrong, costing a lot of time and possibly money. but it's very easy (at least on a 4 cylinder Honda). Do it yourself. Good luck. Oh I will only add this update if this part goes down in less than 2 years. I think for the money it should last at least 5 and it looks like good quality (after all the works car has lasted 20 years and 255,000 miles) - but I have no reason to believe we won't get at least another 100,000 miles from that. So if there are no updates on this rating, we're still going strong. - Purchased in May 2021.
