I have bought several manual grinders over the last few years to find one that would give great grinding results and last a long time. Setup, some fail or fail after some time. This grinder has very fine adjustment, which is welcome, and holds adjustment very well. It grinds coffee quickly and efficiently, it's a pleasure to use. However, we only use a French press and this particular grinder cannot be recommended for this method as it produces very fine granules, almost dust, along with a grind size of the desired size. Therefore, when used in the press, the coffee becomes too strong due to the powdery residue, which my wife really didn't like. We think that's because the grinder is made of steel instead of ceramic. We sent the grinder back after a few cups of coffee and bought a different, different brand.
