Review on Pyle Rackmount Distribution Conditioner PCO860 by Rich Schobinger

No more buzzing! on network filter

A little background: I have two audio systems (5.1 and stereo), as well as 3 game consoles, Roku, Blu-Ray players and so on. I have a lot of accessories that make up my AV system and it's split between two very good surge protectors. A few months ago my audio systems started making the typical 60Hz hiss out of nowhere, like a grounding issue. It came out of every speaker, including the subwoofer. It drove me crazy I checked the outlets with a device that tells me if the outlet is grounded or not, and they were grounded (I checked it a long time ago anyway, before I put extension cords in those outlets). Disconnecting and reconnecting everything didn't get rid of the hum and I was desperate. I didn't plan to spend money on air conditioners because they are usually quite expensive and don't have many outlets. Well, it had good reviews from consumers and professionals, and the price was right, so I figured I had nothing to lose. This air conditioner works very well: now the hum is completely gone. I installed it in the back of my entertainment center with a pair of L brackets with outlets dangling underneath. You can't see it, but I can reach in and just turn it on or off, or reset the circuit breaker. You can attach it to the wall in the same way. Those little outlet extenders are fine too; They give you more flexibility when installing power supplies. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend this conditioner.
